Prize contest "A worthy experience"

THE DEADLINE IS EXTENDED UNTIL PRIZES LAST!

The I-CLEEN project intends to collect and publish any educational resource used by teachers to explain to the class in an incisive manner contents of Climate and Energy and, more generally, of Earth System Sciences. For this reason the colleague teachers can send us notifications and suggestions about what they consider useful to realize more involving lessons, which can be, whether books, or animations, or films, or DVDs or excursions.

Practical experiences are so precious to us that we announced a prize contest named "A worthy experience", with which we intend to give visibility (and a symbolic cash prize) to the authors of the most effective educational proposals who are willing to share those through the services offered by this gateway.

Here there is a little abstract of the full regulations of the "A worthy experience" contest,(in italian) that we invite you to consult:

  1. The "A worthy experience" contest announced by the I-CLEEN project of the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences in Trento is free and open to everyone and will take place in the period between the 18th of January 2010 and the closing date of the contest;
  2. the closing date for the contest will be fixed according to the left resources aimed to the payment of the prizes. The day these resources will be equal to the 10 % of the initial amount, it will be fixed the closing date , which will be on the end of the fourteenth day after;
  3. it consists of sending to the editors, through the proper application form, a practical educational experience already carried out by the author, which develops one or more themes in the range of Climate and Energy-ESS;
  4.  the educational experience must be illustrated using only the "I-CLEEN Form" here attached;
  5. each participant can submit up till 2 educational experiences per head and independently from the result of the evaluation activity carried out by the selection committee;
  6. the experience is examined by a committee composed by the editorial staff of the I-CLEEN project
  7. the qualification judgement expressed by the committee is definitive and unquestionable. The organizers of the contest are not due to give any written communication to acknowledge receipt of the activity, nor to explain the reasons for their judgement;
  8. the activities considered suitable will be submitted to a work of editing for the adaptation to the project standards and then will be republished with a clear indication of the author and under a license of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 – Italy kind;
  9. the judgement will be communicated to the authors of the winning activities by e-mail and after the closing date of the contest. For each experience considered suitable, it will be assigned a 100 Euros prize;
  10. the prize will be assigned only to the authors of qualified educational activities who will provide an active e-mail address and will send all the papers and the information in time, as requested in the regulations;
  11. the contest jackpot is 3000 Euros.
